Aesthetic breast surgery continues to evolve, and breast implant safety is a topic of concern for many women. Dr Campbell-Lloyd has focused his aesthetic interests on the development of "implant-free" techniques for breast enhancement, and on corrective surgery for patients with previous complicated or failed breast implant procedures performed elsewhere. He has extensive experience performing these challenging procedures, and has developed a number of techniques which allow patients to regain a totally natural, aesthetically pleasing breast.
Many women are concerned about the long-term repercussions of breast implants. Dr Campbell-Lloyd believes that with the right techniques, it is possible to enhance or rejuvenate the breast without implants. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to aesthetic breast surgery, and we encourage our patients to fully explore their options.
Breast reconstruction surgery (after breast cancer) is a vital part of cancer treatment. Breast reconstruction provides tremendous aesthetic and functional benefits. Dr Campbell-Lloyd offers all forms of breast reconstruction, with a focus on microsurgical techniques such as DIEP flap surgery. Breast Reconstruction can be offered at the time of mastectomy or as a delayed procedure at any time (whether months, or years) after mastectomy.
Dr Campbell-Lloyd is increasingly correcting breast reconstructions performed elsewhere, and he is one of a very small number of surgeons who offer this. Patients are seeking options particularly after prior implant-based breast reconstruction, to alleviate pain, improve function and optimise aesthetics.
Dr Campbell-Lloyd graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005. After completing his Plastic Surgery training in Adelaide in 2014, Dr Campbell-Lloyd first moved to London, and then returned to Australia to establish his private practice on the Gold Coast, with a focus on corrective breast surgery. From 2016 to 2021, he held public appointments as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the the Gold Coast University Hospital, and at the Mater Hospital Brisbane.
In 2022, Dr Campbell-Lloyd took the opportunity to pursue new challenges.
We have some incredibly exciting news for the practice coming up in the next few months. We are working hard to bring our unique services to more patients, and we're looking forward to sharing our plans with you. Stay tuned!
