From Thursday 17th September, our rooms are moving (just for a while) to a new location.
You'll find us at Level 1, 309-311 Wakefield Street, Adelaide.
Bit of important info:
We're upstairs, but there is lift access for post-op patients, in case you need it.
For those of you with appointments after 14th September, you will probably already have received emails/notifications with our current Rundle St address, so we'll be contacting you all individually with more info and to remind you of the location change.
Now, just to be clear, this is a TEMPORARY move. Admittedly, we'll probably be there for the next 18 months (or more).
Whilst the moving bit is something of a nightmare for me (I hate moving, but then who doesn't?), it is for the greater good.
The reason for the move is that finally, after nearly 4 years, a bunch of false starts and plan changes and intermittent disasters, we are about to get cracking with the redevelopment of our dear old pile of bricks at 120 Rundle St in Kent Town. And that redevelopment is going to involve a rather complicated process of salvaging the heritage parts and adding some new parts, and hopefully we'll manage all that without killing (or worse, bankrupting) ourselves.
Best estimate at this time is that we're looking at 18 months work. That's a builder's/architect's estimate. And that strikes me as being about as accurate as a surgeon's estimate on time...still, the hope is that by the start of 2028 we'll be back in at 120 Rundle St and looking fabulous, a bit like Kris Jenner did 6 weeks after her facelift. Of course, I expect that the results of our building renovations will last a little longer than Mrs Jenner's (in)famous facial renovations.
Anyway, this is exciting in many ways. But if I look a bit frazzled in the next little while, now you know why.
Also, because I'm clearly not very smart, we have new staff starting next week, we're moving to a new IT provider, I'm moving house, we're still operating, and I think I need a holiday. Oh well.
See you at the new place. It's very easy to find. But give us a call or flick us an email if you have any questions or you're wondering where the hell we are.
